Happy Thoughts

It never ceases to amaze me how, just when I'm starting to see the silver lining in this whole eminent-unemployment thing, my soon-to-be-former employers find yet another way to piss me off.

However, being that I only have to put up with them for 2 more days--and apparently I am important enough to merit a half-hour Goodbye Party tomorrow afternoon--I am going to take the high road and stop harping about it.

So instead, I'm going to blog about something that I meant to blog about ages ago before life started shitting on me.

Remember when I spent an exorbitant amount of money on Sephora's website and was eagerly awaiting my goodies?

Well I can firmly say, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Pop Lid Neon? Fucking rocks my universe!

Check this out:

Yes, I was so excited by my eyeshadow this morning that I stopped to take pictures before I finished getting ready for work.

What can I say? I am prone to random fits of girliness.

Also, I love make-up.

So yes, if you like bright colours, this is soooo the pallet for you! And that one that looks sort of terra-cotta in the picture? Is a bright circus orange when applied. Seriously, beyond fantastic, and well worth the $22 price tag.

So that's my happy thought for the day.

Happy Wednesday kids!

Awesome eyeshadow! How long does the colour last??

I agree. I absolutely love the shadow. I can't do it, though, because I have Asian eyes, and I haven't quite figured out the mechanics behind it. Yours look great though :)

I freakin' LOVE love LOVE fun eye colors! I am SO getting that palette.

Some people like to tell me my make up can be too "loud" to attract a man.. and by loud, I mean my mom. And frankly? Fuck all that shit. My eye make up always works super well w/my outfits and I love love love that added touch. Seriously. I'll be in my 50s before I know it - for now I'm gonna live up my youth.

Hi, um, can you come do my makeup everyday? Because I could sit in front of the mirror for ages and never be able to make my eyes look that pretty and perfect. Well done, my friend!

Kass - I tried to take pictures but the low light in the bathroom made them come out super-grainy. It holds up pretty well as is, and I've got a sneaking suspicion that if I applied it wet it would practically be permanent. Hmmm... perhaps an experiment for Friday Night Barhopping :)

Poodlegoose - There has *got* to be a way! Keep trying!!

Stephanie - Well, I'm about to be unemployed, so... sure! For a fee ;) Seriously, all it takes is practice and imagination. Also, in case you couldn't tell, I have a fairly large canvas to work on :)

Sephora is heavenly. The possibilities. Oh the possibilities.

Extreme bouts of girliness are needed some days.
Canada is painfully devoid of Sephora.

Awesome! Gonna get me some of that stuff!

I totally agree with Deutlich's comments. Bright colours have an age limit, so why not live it up grand while you still can? Who cares if someone else thinks they're too loud! They rock!

Wow. I am so woefully un-bold with my shadow choices. I always wanted to be one of those girl who could rock the hardcore colors. Maybe one day :)
