De-Brief, In Brief

Cuter, and ever-so-slightly taller, than I remembered.
Chose the scenic walk to the restaurant.
Made me laugh.
Paid for dinner.
Still an excellent kisser.

Will be shorter than me if I'm wearing heels.
Poor lighting didn't let me see if he's a good tipper.
Blew his nose in cloth napkin at restaurant.

Although I actually managed to behave myself (for once in my bloody life) and decline the invitation to go home with him, there is definitely some chemistry there that merits exploring before I leave for five weeks. Does it go beyond chemistry? Jury is still out.

Hey, it was a first date. And it wasn't a disaster.

That, in and of itself, is an accomplishment.

Don't let the short thing bug you too much -- I've found that short guys are more attentive (in and out of bed). Maybe they feel like they have to make up for their lack of height in other ways? I dunno. As long as he doesn't have a Napolean complex, that's the other extreme, and if he does, RUN AWAY.

My husband is half an inch shorter than me when we're barefoot, and we no longer even notice the height difference when I'm in heels. If there's enough other stuff going for the relationship, that kind of thing will eventually fade into the background.

Good luck!

Sounds like it went well! Though blowing your nose in a cloth napkin sounds a little weird to me.

Keep us posted! Very exciting.
